The Veterans Affairs (VA) Research and Education Program, with its distinguished history, has been improving Veterans’ lives for over 85 years. Our Program is unique in that it is the only research program focused on pioneering research to improve the health and well-being of our nation’s Veterans. VA Research has also contributed significantly to advancing Medical Sciences benefiting the entire nation and the world through innovation and discovery.

At the VA St. Louis Health Care System, our Research and Education Programs have over 125 active studies in diverse areas of scientific investigation including basic sciences, translational research, clinical trials, and clinical epidemiology.

Research & Education Service is located in the Big Brother / Big Sister Building at the corner of Grand Blvd and Olive.  It is not on the main John Cochran Division campus.

Gateway to Research Seminar Series

Clinical Epidemiology Center

The CEC has been established to provide investigators working with the St. Louis VA with systematic support in building their research capacity, and in turn, the research capacity of the VA, in order to improve the health of Veterans nationwide. The CEC website may be accessed here.
