Welcome to the Clinical Epidemiology Center! Our mission is to improve the health and health care of US Veterans by conducting and supporting rigorous studies involving topics in patient-oriented investigation and corresponding research methods. The CEC has been established to provide investigators working with the St. Louis VA with systematic support in building their research capacity, and in turn, the research capacity of the VA, in order to improve the health of Veterans nationwide.

Seminar Series

Internship Opportunities

The Clinical Epidemiology Center (CEC) is now accepting application for an exciting unpaid internship opportunity to support clinical epidemiology research at the St. Louis VA Health Care System.  The CEC’s mission is to improve the health and healthcare of US Veterans by conducting rigorous studies involving topics in patient-oriented investigation and corresponding research methods. Interns will be exposed to investigators with a variety of research interests. Interns will participate in research proposal planning, data acquisition, data management, statistical analysis, and manuscript publication. The CEC provides a monthly seminar series, through which interns will gain valuable experience in research program planning and evaluation. Applicants that meet the program requirements should complete the CEC Internship Application and submit the application and CV to STLCEC@va.gov, with the subject heading “CEC Internship Application”.
