ST. LOUIS, MO — Saturday, June 12 at 10AM, Ribbon Cutting Event
Tour newly built Medical Outpatient Clinic and Rehabilitation Clinic

VA St. Louis Health Care System will host a ribbon cutting event and tour to herald the opening of five, new, state-of-the-art replacement buildings constructed at the Jefferson Barracks campus. This will not be a public ceremony. We invite media to cover this event to highlight recent improvements in healthcare services VA is bringing to our over 60,000 area Veterans throughout eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois who are registered with VA St. Louis Health Care System.

“This is a culmination of over 10 years of grit and determination to modernize and improve the environment for Veteran patient care and expand healthcare offerings at our Jefferson Barracks campus.” said Keith Repko, medical center director. “Our new structures include a 3-story outpatient clinic and a medical rehabilitation clinic that is consolidating recreational and rehabilitation services under one roof.

With our Veterans and community in mind, these buildings were built with cutting edge techniques that include sustainable choices in materials and resource use, water efficiency, energy use, and indoor environmental quality.”

Speakers at this event include Congressman Mike Bost (R-IL, Dist. 12, House Veterans Affairs ranking committee member), Congresswoman Cori Bush (D-MO, Dist. 1), and Mayor Tishaura Jones (City of St. Louis). A statement will be read from the office of Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO, Dist. 2).

Tours of Outpatient Clinic (Bldg. 55) and Medical Rehabilitation Clinic (Bldg. 54) will be offered after the ribbon cutting ceremony.
