VA St. Louis Health Care System
April 14, 2016
The VA St. Louis Health Care System and Warrior Summit Coalition are proud to host 2016 Welcome Home Warrior Summit to honor those military personnel who are returning home from service in Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn. We also want to thank every veteran for serving our country so gallantly. We extend our welcome and gratitude to all our veterans and active duty members that have served or are currently serving our country.
2016 Welcome Home & Warrior Summit will be one of the largest events in St. Louis to celebrate and assist Veterans. This event is designed to provide reception and recovery of all Veterans of the US military. It’s also designed to familiarize current service members, military Veterans, and their families with services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense. We are committed to helping make each service member’s transition from active military status as seamless as possible.
2016 Welcome Home Warrior Summit is scheduled for Friday, May 13, 2016 from 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. and Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. This event will be held at the St. Louis Community College Forest Park Campus. The formal ceremony program begins at 10:00a.m. on Friday. After the program you are invited to join over 100 organizations at their booths for services to Veterans and their families. Unlike previous years, our event this year is tied into Navy Week Celebration. 2016 Welcome Home Warrior Summit will be partnering with the Navy. For those that can’t make it to the Air Show, this event will feature a free performance by the Navy Band, The Great Lake “Horizon” and will include Navy Dives and EOD Robots – part of their Interactive STEM Tour!
Your participation in the Welcome Home festivities helps celebrate the tremendous service and dedication these and all veterans have paid to our country.
