The St. Louis VA Medical Center is pleased to provide expanded services to our veterans with the opening of the Washington MO Clinic.

The St. Louis VA Medical Center hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new VA outpatient clinic in Washington (MO) on Thursday, June 30, 2011.  The clinic is located at 1627 A Roy Drive in Washington, MO 63090.  The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was followed by a health fair sponsored by the VA medical center.

Activities include:

  • Blood pressure screening
  • Healthy eating tips
  • Exercise demonstrations and tips
  • Quit smoking information
  • My HealtheVet program
  • Weight Management Program

The clinic will provide primary and mental health care services to Veterans in the Washington area. Veterans interested in transferring their care to the new Washington VA Outpatient Clinic should speak with their current VA primary health care provider during their next appointment or call the new VA clinic at 314-289-7950 or 1-800-228-5459 extension 57950.

The medical center also operates clinics in St. Louis (MO), Belleville (IL), and St. Charles, (MO). In fiscal year 2010, there were 641,835 outpatient visits for the combined St. Louis facilities; 7,235 in Belleville, 6,726 in St. Louis and 5,146 in St. Charles.  In 2011 both the St. Louis Clinic and the St. Charles Clinic moved into larger facilities to accommodate the growing number of patients seen in the community based clinics.  We are anticipating over 1700 outpatient visits at the Washington Outpatient Clinic this year.

Veterans, who need medical advice, appointments, or other information, are asked to call the VA at 314-652-4100. Registered nurses, pharmacists, and administrative clerks are ready to answer health care questions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Veterans with life-threatening emergencies should immediately call 911.
